About us
私たち Meet My Amami は、奄美群島の豊かな自然・文化・観光を発信する、島内外の若者主体によるメディア／コミュニティです。
これまでに、SNSでの情報発信だけでなく、島内での教育ワークショップやアイデアコンテスト、オンライン交流会なども開催してきました。
その背景には、少子高齢化や大学が存在しないこと、本土との教育格差といった課題を抱える奄美において、若者同士のつながりを育み、奄美を通じて新たな価値を生み出せる環境を築きたいという思いがあります。
また、キャリアや学びのために島外で暮らすことの多い私たちにとって、Meet My Amami の活動は島とつながり続けるための「糸」でもあります。
Meet My Amami は、島内外で活躍する若者が、奄美の魅力を世界に届けながら、未来を担う世代が互いにつながり、ともに成長していける場です。

We, Meet My Amami, are a youth-led media and community initiative that shares the rich nature, culture, and tourism of the Amami Islands.
In addition to sharing information through social media, we have organized educational workshops, idea contests, and online exchange events.
Behind these activities lies our wish to create an environment where young people can connect with each other and generate new value through Amami, a region facing challenges such as depopulation, an aging society, the absence of a university, and educational disparities compared with the mainland.
For many of us who live outside the islands for career or educational reasons, Meet My Amami also serves as a “thread” that keeps us connected to our home.
Meet My Amami is a place where young people, both on and off the islands, can share the beauty of Amami with the world while connecting across generations and growing together.
